With the popularity of smart phones, Tetris and its following games like Angry Birds, Bejeweled, Fruit Ninja etc. gradually occupy our pocket, time and brain. Furthemore, they reinventing business model of game market. It is no doubt that we live in a world full of foolish games.
From Tetris to Angry Birds
In 1989, Nintendo launched a game name Game Boy which swept around the world and brought a style of relaxation. Players not need to have fun in a small arcade game because this small box could make them happy enough. 
Only one game Tetris in Game Boy. Different kinds of block drop one after another. Players have to change its shpe to fill the grap before droped to the bottom. Game Boy works together with Tetris to create “foolish game”. Game experts point out that the development of game reflects people’s life in some extent. Fox example, Richman was a perfect product in 1930s. It was the time of Big Depression, however, players can spend billions in the game to act as property tycoon. In 1950s, an adventure game Risk reflected the Cold War situation of international politics. The only thing players can do in the game Tetris is repeated permutation and conbination. The beauty of this game is to kill people’s free will — even it is a vain, peple still can’t help to do it. Tetris and other stupid games push us to punish ourselves.
In 2009, after Tetris was borned 25 years, the near-bankcrupt Findland firm Rovio developed a game Angriy Birds. The basis of this game is to use your index finger by launching birds to attack green pigs who hide in weak walls. This game makes full use of touch screen technology. It’s very easy and funny to play.
Within a few months, Angry Birds has became the hottest game of iPhone and other mobile phone. So far, it was downloaded almost 70 million times, monthly active users up to 20 million. Moreover, movie, T-shirt, slippers, doll and even a plan of Angry Birds theme park was derived from the game. Like Tetris, Angry Birds has became the leader in our time When there are economy, politics and other impact or anxiety, people will pick up their digital products to play which will make them confortable.
